Can anyone help with this? I purchased replacement trim pieces for my forward oval portholes. The existing ones were cracked and they snapped off rather easily. The replacement trim pieces are identical (except they're not yellowed and cracked!) and have the same attachment points and markings on the inside...EXCEPT they don't snap onto the window frame. Does anyone have any ideas on this? It seems like it should be simple, but...my simple mind can't figure it out. Thanks for any suggestions!!

Depending on how close they are to fitting you may have to do a little sanding to the window frame.

Thanks. They fit fine but they won't stay snapped in. I'm contemplating gluing them in place, but before I did that I wanted to see if I was missing something simple. I appreciate your suggestion and I'll look at that again.

I had the same problem when I replaced mine on my 225WE. In addition to attaching them with 3M 4000 UV caulk, I screwed them in. Two screws each (one on each end) was enough to supplement the caulk. I slightly countersunk the screw holes in the covers and used countersunk screws, so the screw heads are flush with the surface of the cover. Also, I bought chrome covers. To my eye they look better than the white covers, and they won’t turn yellow.

Thanks for that tip. That's kind of what I was thinking may have to happen. I appreciate you sharing your experience and I think that's what I'll do, but where did you find the chrome ones? I could only find the white plastic...any help you could provide on that would be most excellent...thanks!
