Port Soleniod Starter switch

For the 1st time this weekend, I had a small problem on my 340DA with the Port starter solenoid switch on the dashboard a the Helm station. The problem was, that I pushed the switch to the starting position and nothing happened. I had to push the switch several times and finally it started the boat. I adjusted the throttle to make sure it was in neutral psition and I turned the switchesd on the electric panel off and On thinking that this would reset the Port Soleniod switch.

I pushed the switch again and It did finally work and the engine started.

Has anyone:

1. Had his problem?
2. If so, what is the solution?

1:Neutral safety switches at helm under gear shifters
2: Safety switch on your transmission ( if it's a hurth it's on top forward center of tranny)
