last year couldn't get boat above 15 knots. I replace carb and now 25- 30 knots and more. At this speed I'm learning the use of the trim tabs (sea ray 240). The Port side trim tab moves at half the speed of the starboard. I did install a new pump and lines last season. It was running slower back then as well but I didn't fully understand their use last year. Any idea as to the reason for moving slowly?

When operated individually, my tabs take about 5 seconds to deploy OR retract.

how long does it take for yours?

Mine don't move that fast either. 5-6 seconds

15 to 20 secs for port side
Swap the hoses at the pump. See if the starboard runs that slow. If it does, you have an issue with the hydraulic line or piston. If port side is still slow, take another look at the pump, solenoid, and wiring.

I may be exaggerating on 56 seconds but they only go down a couple of inches so mind might take 7:10 I really don't know I never timed it but they just hydraulic go down and hydraulic retract but shouldn't be 20 seconds

the starboard moves significantly faster than the port

One thing to check: Pull the port solenoid off the pump (under the smoked cover). When off, you can see a little round white plastic piece in the hole. Pull it out with a needle nose or something similar, and inspect it. Some times a little piece of schmutz will plug up a hole or 2 in it. Clean out and reassemble.
