Port RPM & Syncronize gauges oscillates

After last repair on the port side engine, the mechanic said that it wasn't starting due to a short on the harness. Now it starts but the indicator for the port engine RPM and the Syncronize are oscillating. Do you have any idea?:smt100

Engine RPM wandering? If not, then you have an electrical problem which should be easy to isolate. It's probably where he mechanic repaired the wiring harness.
