Port cockpit speakers "crackling sound"

Any ideas on what would cause - started end of last year and marina said it was fine - took boat out today and it is making the crackling sound again. It is both port speakers so doubting both went bad - could it be electrical? Stock system with no mods. Thanks. :huh:

Peek inside through the vents with a flashlight and see if the paper/plastic cones are shot.

Crackle could be blown speakers, loose connections, EM interference, problem with the headunit/amp.

But my bet is on blown speakers or loose connections.

I agree with above. Need replaced.
