Hi all, a few weeks ago I had my son lock the port seat in position because it was sliding back and forth. He pushed the lever down and a bolt with a nut attached broke causing a metal and plastic washer to fall from the seat.

Q: Has anyone taken apart the under part of the seat? Can this bolt be replaced. I have discovered the bolt places tension on the lever. Any thoughts would be appreciated

My capt chair did the same thing, i ended up replacing entire unit that goes under seat, just 4 bolts and i think 80.00 bucks.

I have not taken one apart that far to say yes or no. Although, my first instinct would be to say that it is repairable. But, you might be able to find out for sure by calling the manufacturer, or looking on their website for a schematic. I *think* it's Garelick. The name should be printed somewhere on the seat mechanism.

If it was me, I would call them. They may even send you out a free replacement. Maybe.
