Ok, here is another lesson I must learn. I was at the dock with my wife and kids and they wanted to shower. I often get to hear about how the water pressure is so low from all of them so I thought I would try to hook up to the water inlet on the dock.
Turned on the water and all was great...no complaints...then I realized the water pump breaker was still on in the panel! Now I have no water pressure at all on board. I can see the voltmeter move as I cut the pump breaker on, but no pump or water.
Did I blow out my water pump with the shore pressure?
If so, I have a 2.8GPM pump now and can I bump that up to 3.0 or even 3.5 without trouble if I am going to the effort to replace?
All this on top of the shower sump going bad setting of my emergency bilge alarm while they are enjoying their showers too. I am hoping it is the switch and not the pump.
My nerves were frazzled! Did I mention I Love Boating?
