I've been admiring this boat every time I drive over the bridge. Been tied up at the yacht club for the past week or so.

Well that really sucks. What a way to learn the hard way what those funny looking red and green buoys mean.

He must have been moving pretty fast to run that far up.

He wasn't running, I guess he anchored there during high tide. Funny thing bout the high tide..... It goes out. In the video you can see the yacht club dock when the guy pans left. I thought he came untied and drifted over there. He was tied to the dock this morning when I drove past.

Well I went down there. They got free, it's high tide. They would have been just between the middle and right trees.

Did you hear what actually happened? Did he run it aground? Loose all power and drift to that point?

I'd hate to bash the guy for something that may have been out of his control.

Never confirmed what happened. The guy that filmed the video which is no longer available works on the river and said they anchored up to go paddle boarding on the river. However I've been looking at the boat all week. And yesterday morning it seemed farther own the dock then it had been all week. I think he came untied and drifted over there with the outgoing tide. I can't imagine he navigated the river without grounding himself before that. There is a extremely small channel about a mile down river that they would have had to get through, while the river is about 100 ft wide, the navigable area is about 20 ft wide and turns multiple times rather quickly. It's very very easy to get off course and wind up in some stuff you don't want to be. Ask me how I know!!!
