FYI, I just received this notice via Facebook:

Pompano Beach Marine Center will be holding a giant marine flea market this weekend. Equipment for sale includes Yamaha engines, cowlings, lower units, fishing gear, propellers, hardware, upholstery, etc. Also 10% off of all in-store inventory.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 9-5

Pompano Beach Marine Center
701 South Federal Hwy (South of Atlantic in Pompano Beach)
(954) 946-1450

If anybody is in the neighborhood this weekend and has some time to come say hi, come on by my place and I'll throw on some burgers and have some beer on ice - the pool is open.

Also, I'll be working on my boat (it's out back on the lift) if anybody feels like turning a wrench or advising a novice on how to do various tasks (change oil, check filters, coolant, etc.) I'd really appreciate the company and advice.

Hi Bob - it would be a pleasure. I'm in the area all weekend as I'm playing Mr. Mom, so just let me know.

As it is, I am calling up marinas around here to see if they have a prop puller for rent just in case I can't get the props off without it.

Thanks for the info on the flea market. Mines getting hauled today. God only knows what I'll find under there. I'm off the Dania Cut just east of 95

I just pulled the props this morning with a borrowed prop-puller from my buddy Joe at Hideaway Marine (Incredible mechanic if you guys ever need one...) and dropped them off at Precision Props to get Prop Scanned.

I plan on washing/waxing and buffing the heck out of her while I have her here back on the lift.

I went to the 'flea market' and there wasn't much there at all. Perhaps the last one in Dania spoiled me quite a bit. I did find a stern fluke anchor there for $15, so it was worth it to me.

+1! If those guys are out this way today and I run into them, I'll do my best to pitch em Randy.
