Anyone know where to get the same or similar fabric used on polyform fender covers? Polyester yarn is all I know. I’d like to make some.

Or any other suggestions. Not a fan of the boat blanket material at sailrite.

thanks

My wife has a sewing business and she makes all kinds of stuff for me. All are items that are custom and not not commercially available.

My fender covers are store bought. Not worth the effort. In the end there is no cost savings.

I made a set for a buddy's sailboat out of sunbrella canvas and they turned out great. Just made tubes with tops with a gromet at the top cap for the line. Left open at the bottom. Made them long enough to cover the entire fender. Defated the fender for install then inflated for perfect snug fit. I also sewed up corner wheel covers from same material to eliminate material transfer to his hull as the wheels were aged.

Curious why you dont like boat blanket. I just made two fender covers with it to test out. I see you have a colored hull too. Anything I should be concerned about?

My old fender covers were a mix of the WM kind that are like a woven material.... which gets picked/snagged and ugly eventually. The others are the heavy thickness polar fleece kind. Those also get torn pretty easily on rough dock pilings.
