Politicians = Crook

Ya, lets just get the army tanks out and run them fcukers over.

Ironic thing here is that in the Communist-Marxist type government so many of these people seem to want the US to become, that is exactly what would happen to them for protesting anything.

If I were to guess, I would say many Americans would like to find out just what the "Occupy" movement is all about. See, I think there are really no "nuts and bolts" to this whole thing. From what I have seen and heard (some in my own city) it looks to me like the Occupy movement is a bit of a fringe movement of sorts that the Libs were trying to control in the background but has pretty much become a sounding board for any mad hippie liberal type out there to shout against everyone from the "wall street bankers" that support their party all the way to the Coal Plants. As I have stated numerous times, all these Occupy folks need to migrate towards Pennsylvania Ave if they want to gripe.

Seriously I don't think OWS can focus and express themselves clearly, thery're touching on every topic under the sun, but...there is a message being sent that will help us all and that is that people are very unhappy and unsettled right now. Everyone of these mini movements that surface will just add to the impact and all fingers are pointing at Washington even if some of them don't know why. The problem is we don't have a good means to force the changes in Washington because in either party, all players of any clout are of the same ilk, any vote seems to get us more of the same. Like I've said before this is a Capitol Hill Culture problem. Myself, I'm flexible, I don't care to much about alot of the social issues and were they go as long as the Washington keeps the fiscal house in order.

We need to start over in government. These guys need to be aware that they are not immune to the crap that is toppling regimes on the other side of the planet. People will reach a threshold that will cause this thing to erupt here on our own soil. Things need to change and that change needs to begin now!

Where did that come from? So tell me, are you sure you are going to like socialism? Because the far left only sees red!! I'd be real curious to how much we disagree on other than unions.
HAHAHA, What I'm saying is to show me someone other than this field of Repubs "AND" the current POTUS that we could wrap are arms around.:smt038 And don't even go there about unions Donnie.:lol:

Todd, Step back from the edge just a little bit. We do still live in the greatest country on the planet, with the best government ever conceived by mankind. No matter how bad the ruling class acts we still have it great for now. What we must watch is the future and implement the steps I outlined earlier. We must shrink their power. MM

Do most of you agree that big money and corporations have a stranglehold right now on our elected leaders and we the people no longer have any voice on what goes on in Washington? Left, Right or whatever your political leanings, it has to be obvious the system is horribly broken and needs to be fixed real quick or we're all in a heap of trouble.

I would like to add that the media has obviously done their job in trying to paint the occupiers as a bunch of low life misfits. The truth is there are a lot of "good" people out there too, professionals from almost every walk of life, and they're fed up too. And if you talked to any of them you would find they're out there for the very same stuff we talk about on here, politicians are all crooks, lobbying should be banned, etc. The list of occupy demands that packdad posted in the what would you do to revive the economy thread was written by an occupy committee with the help of Michael Moore and is much, much further to the left than it should be, and contains too many points of action. Sticking to one main and vital point, such as fixing washington by eliminating big money from the political process, would have attracted a lot more people to their cause.

You asked for my suggestions, no comment on any of them?

As for "the media has obviously done their job in trying to paint the occupiers as a bunch of low life misfits" do you really believe this garbage. Who has done that? Show me the articles. ONLY Fox and the conservative bloggers published the truth about these losers. MM

Look MM, please do NOT post FACTS!!

I don't know that it's a strangehold, sometimes it seems more like a partnership. I don't know how we can find a lasting solution that won't address some combination of term limits, campaign finance, lobbying and earmarks. After you slip a couple c-notes into the hand of your favorite maitre d' do you think it's luck that you sit at a good table served by the best waiter in the establishment? Oh ya, for the rest of you hungry folks, have patience, the maitre d' will be with you in a bit, he's busy right now with the chef, facilitating the special suprise dessert for Mr. C-Note.
