We were cleaning the boat Sunday and the Cabin carpet felt damp, not wet, just damp, like it was sweating.. I pulled the carpet back and it was barely moist on the hull flooring, again, like it was sweating. I pray this is just condensation from the high humidity. Also, I haven't been running the AC while we are not there. The previous owner also kept plastic down as another layer of protection to the carpet. I

Is this type of dampness normal? Any suggeations other than carpet?

Thanks for any advice.

I had the same issue..So I went around the outside of the boat and found that the railing needed to be resealed, as well as the cleats and rub rail.

I used Boat Life white.

This last weekend it rained pretty heavily and when I went inside--Dry as a bone.

In my case, this seams to have been the cause.
