Thanks to a leaking accumulator tank ruining the new wood floors in my galley, I am now looking at Plasteak as an option.
There appears to be two different types -
One comes as a roll like a vinyl sheet -"For those who like a high-gloss finish on their woodwork, our Teak & Holly Glossy provides luster and shine. Teak & Holly is 1/8″ (80 mil./2mm) thick. The roll is 6 foot (1.8m) wide and is cut to even foot lengths. Each lineal foot is $50.00. Holly lines run the length of cut material. ($8.33/square foot)"
The other comes in planks - "
This click together PVC plank flooring is perfect for the confined areas in the cabin, galley, etc. Material has a foam layer on back of each plank that acts like a sound reducer and helps hide slight imperfections in substrate. Edges of flooring click together for a quick and easy install.
Each plank is 48 5/8″ long x 7 7/8″ wide x 3/16″ thick and is 2.65 sq.ft. Purchase by the plank. Lines run the 48″ length of board. Flooring comes out to $9.26 per sq. ft."
For those who have this type of product, what can I expect? I'm figuring that the planks would be just like the hardwood floors I put down and that the sheet would look like the loncoin that was previously down.
How does this product handle concave curvature?
