okay guys,
We are heading to St Pete, Florida on 3/20. I love to eat at places on the water so can you locals give some names of a few places we should try? We are staying in zip 33711 near the maximo marina.

Thanks,
T

Don't know how far you want to travel but Frenchy's has a place to dock on the Intercoastal in Clearwater.

So it looks like the Saltwater Cafe has the dock. The beach resturaunt might not be to bad but I love the places where I can sit and eat (or drink) and enjoy the boats going by.

The Saltwater Cafe you won't see boat's going by, but Hulk Hogan could show up. I've seen him there often. The location on the Beach (little further north) no boat access but you can sit outside looking at the beach and gulf and see people and boats.

Since you will be boating in St. Pete/Clearwater if you happen to go into the Tampa Bay watch your Depth and Channel Markers you can get yourself stuck really easy. There are many islands to check out too all depends on what your looking for.

I don't take my boat down for spring break but have rented out of Teirra Verde before. I just love being around the water all the time. Somehow the food and drink always taste better.

haha I completly miss understood what you were looking for then <grin> I thought you were bringing the boat and were looking for places to boat to.

Now that is over with there are 100's of places to eat that have a beach/water front, but again I'm only familar with Clearwater area not the St. Pete area.

there are lots of places on st pete beach.

if you want upscale, go the salt rock grill in indian shores. if you want casual, there is a shell's seafood in redington beach. if you want the all-time classic grouper sandwich, with a sunset view, go the hurricane in st pete beach. if you want the best brunch around, and are willing to pay for it, go to the don cesar. good breakfast - the frog pond in redington. if you want great cuban food, and a great view, go to the columbia at the pier in downtown st pete. also at the pier is cha-cha coconuts - sit outside, enjoy the view, and the casual good food.

basically, there are a bunch of places on the intracoastal between redington and st pete beach. you can drive up and down and find plenty.

one of my business partners live near there, i can ask her.

feel free to pm me if there is something specific you're looking for.
