Have a couple of sections of pinstripe on the top half of the boat that have a nick or two in them and it bothers me. Not looking to replace the whole thing but would like to get some replacement pinstripe and cut some small sections and simply overlay it over the few flaws that are there. It's a double pinstripe, assuming it's factory and original to the boat, and it's black and silver. The black I believe is slightly thicker if I remember. Anyone know where I can find this?

Have you considered using a local sign maker? A good one could probably match it.

Hull Stripes - Factory Direct Stripes, they are a sponsor I believe. Check them out. I replaced my Boot Stripes some time ago. The can send you a chart to align with the factory Color on your boat. My Stripes look black from a distance, however they are dark grey with a metallic flake, perfect match! They can cut to any size and length.

This has been on my wish list for a while now. Can you share how hard it was to remove your factory 1996 stripes?

The larger stripes came off with a Heat Gun, I warmed them up and used a fiber-stick (Plastic stick, not to damage the fiberglass) to peel back a corner and start the process, heating up a few feet at at time and peeling the stripe off. The smaller stripes came off with a " Decal Eraser Wheel Pin Stripe Removal Tool" as found on Amazon ($8). Its an eraser type wheel you attach to your screw gun... came off pretty easy, use due care as to not burn the fiberglass, ask me how I know... A season in the sun will take care of that!

Another option: 3M Stripe Off Wheel Adhesive Remover Eraser Wheel

Boot Stripes (3 on my 1996 Sundancer) probably about 2 hours per side to remove.

Thank you. This is about what I was expecting. I wheeled-off the stripes on the foredeck of my 340. It worked but was a lot of work, especially with as much adhesive that was left behind by the wheel.

I'm not sure my hull stripes are bad enough yet to motivate me to take this one on. I'm on the fence. Especially since my sides are already fully waxed and ready for spring :)

It's not actually the hull stripes. It's the other set of pinstripes located higher up on the boat. Goes around the cockpit on both sides. Along and through the oval windows on each side of that makes sense. Do they make them as well at that site??

Yes they do! Just measure the width and gap if replacing 2 stripes (my 330 has two and I am on the fence about replacing them this spring). They will cut to width and can put "2" or more stripes on one roll.

Yup..."hull stripes" is the way to go. I did my center console and as explained above you measure your current stripes (single or double) choose colors/widths on their website and they will arrive rolled in a box a few days later. A heat gun/blow drier is what I used to remove my old and very worn stripes. Acetone to remove residual glue and replace stripe using their included plastic paddle. Very easy to do and very rewarding once done. BTW, I think it goes without saying that this is a job best done in warm weather when the boat is on blocks.

I went right over top with all new. I used to do pinstripes on cars years ago. Remember the colors fade overtime, so matching them may be hard. You prob already replaced them as this is an older post. Also it is much easier to keep them straight if all you are doing is goin over the old ones.

That's really really good idea. I might just replace the whole thing. Thank you
