Spent the night out on the hook with some friends last weekend. Had a good time. Used my Shakespeare 2025 antenna for the first time to watch the Nascar race. Had some issues getting a good signal but ended up getting a nice HD picture. Hope everyone has a great summer!

Great looking boat. Kind of strange to see such a small anchor line, or is that just the picture? Looks like heavy fishing line in the pic!
 
What is that red spool on the swim platform?

I forgot about the antenna Nazi's on the site. :) I never turn the radio on. The front anchor line is normal size. The anchor I'm using on the stern is just a cheap $20 anchor that I put in the sand on the beach. The red spool is what the rope for the stern anchor is rolled up on. I don't like the way the antenna looks when it is pointed straight up or forward. I'll post up some more later.

The only way she is going is if she gets thrown in. She would probably drown then! She can't swim at all. Looks more like a chicken with its head cut off. I've heard Dobie's are not typically good swimmers?
 
You put up a new 2025, did you also put in the signal pre-amp?

I used the one that came with the 2025. I bought another in line booster that I am going to try as well to see if that helps.
 
I just put in a 2025 and amp a couple of months ago. Without the amp, I could get 9 channels. With the amp, I could get 19 channels.
I didn't have any problem picking up the race is why I was asking. '03 C5
 
I'm picking up somewhere around 19 channels but the picture will be jumping and have static sometimes. Are you on Lanier? I have an '07 C6. I'll post a vid here shortly.

Are you using the amp/selector box that came with the 2025 or something else?
 
Yes, using the amp that came with the 2025. Just picture lock when the boat swings too far on the hook. Possibly you have a loose connection.
