Hello all!

Have a 330.
Was wondering if someone had a pic of how they have their dinghies attached to a boat my size or smaller.
Thinking of buying something inflatable to use to get to shore sometimes when anchored off.

Thanks much!

I haven't come up with a good way to attach ours yet, so we just tow it. Don't run much over hull speed anyway because I like cruising without having to keep my eyes glued to the upcoming path all the time, that's why I'm out there anyway to enjoy the water and sights. I don't have to be anywhere that quick.

We use the Dinghy Caddy on our 30'. We love it. Very easy to use and drops into the water when not in use and becomes a large ladder.

Made my own set of Dom's Dinghy Davits

I have a seawise davit, works great is easy to drop down and re-board the dinghy and we will add a dinghy canvas this winter to reduce drag on plane and help get up out of the hole.

What size dinghy do you have? We have a 320 and we are currently shopping for one? Have been told anything above 9' is too long for the platform.

@Irie308 - It is a 9.5 ft zodiac C285S Cadet - here are the specs. perfect size for 2 adults - a squeeze with 4, OK with 3. And it fits the swim platform great. I do not always take it out but when I do and I am on hook we drop it down out of the way in 1 minute. Only issue I have is drag when on plane as mentioned above (it acts like a parachute) and keeping the tubes clean and keeping the water out of the floorboard to tube crevice/gap when it is up on its side. This winter I will be taking it through a thorough maintenance and cleaning routine.

We have a 15HP Yamaha on it btw also - enough to pull a tube if you wish.

Dimensions: (m /ft)
Length overall: 2.85 - 9’4”
Inside length; 1.95 - 6’5”
Width overall: 1.60 - 5’3”
Inside width: 0.70 - 2’4”
Tube diameter: 0.45 - 1’6”

Capacity:
Passengers (ISO): 4
Max payload allowed (Cat C) (Hp - kW): 400 - 882
Total weight (kg - lbs): 39 - 86
Airtight compartments: 2 + 1
