Pics from this past weekend TN River raft up....AKA PArty on the River

Looks like a great time. What was the water temp? I saw a few people in the water.

It is around 75+. After the initial shock it's not so bad. Most of the boats to the port of me had enough numb juice I'm sure they didn'y feel anything.

LOL... 75* water temps sounds great to me!... thanks for sharing your weekend with us!

Roll Tide!

we are doing this again on the 19th of may. About a mile up from the marina I stay at. Should be a lot better turn out with warmer water and temps climbing. Last year we did this in Sept with a total of 74 boats and about 175 (give or take) people. This is actually a party that was started on Facebook by a friend after Aqupalooza that year. Of coarse this ends up becoming almost an every weekend event now. We just like getting everyone together and on the water to enjoy the sun and fun. I may be in the market for a new radar though. Picked up the shoreline on the way in that night but not the bouy I ran over. I got very luck as I hit it dead on with my anchor and only ended up with two small scratches on the gunnel. Took a dive yesterday to inspect the hull and props and saw no more damage. Like I said very lucky. I have never done that before so I feared the worst all night.

Looks like fun thanks for posting the photos. The Ohio is only 67 degrees here in Louisville. Still a little chilly for me regardless of alcohol consumed.

Initial shock? At 75+? You bunch of wussies! The water out here never gets to 70* and we're in it starting around mid-June when it's climbing into the 60's.

Just teasing you a bit. Thanks for sharing the pics. Looks like everyone had fun!

Same here, if the water hits 70 everyone thinks it's 'really warm'.

We have been in the mid 80's here for a while. Should be a hot summer. Wish I could show some of the videos but they are a bit to racey. You tube wouldn't even allow them.

Looks like a good time!

The blond in 3869 was gettin' a little spunky :wow:

Nice 350!!!!

It snowed here last Tuesday... Then two inches of rain... more rain.. did I say more rain ????
But see... the rain is a good thing for our lake. So thank you for your patience.

Only 17 feet to go!

The water temp here in the Keys dropped to 79.9 down from 84 due to wind and rain for the past two weeks. Guess we would be the wussies if the water temp was 70. Looks like it was a great time, we have a sandbar that we all get together at and have the same fun. Everyone have a great and safe 2012 boating year.

Those pictures look great! The photographer did an awesome job ;)

It was a great day on the water for sure. While some of the pics show more of the rowdy side, there was actually varying levels across the entire spectrum. I liked boat-hopping into the crowd for a bit and then being able to retract to my own boat to chill for a bit. Sure wished we could have spent the night; however, the sunset cruise back to Riverwalk was pretty awesome too.

I'm going to try to see if JC will share the video with me and I can get them on my site as well. If I put them on my site, we can password protect it or at least put a "not safe for work" banner around it. After that, people can try to tell us to take it down; however, we don't have to ;)

Looks like fun. I grew up in Huntsville long ago and from the looks of it long before any of you were born. Huntsville High Class of 1975. We spent a lot of time on Guntersville Lake and a place called Point Mallard in Decatur back in those days. Its a great place to live life.
