PIB - Lake Erie

What do they have there? Some no prep midnight cart races?
To plate a cart they can’t go over 19mph. Some go a little faster but you have to know the number but they are always rented first. I was going to fix a couple of miller’s carts but Jim is smarter than me and had access locked up :(

I had the slowest cart on the island last year..until I made adjustments. lol

Booked two nights at crews nest mid week late june!! Expensive water around that place!

Worth every penny… we rarely eat and drink at crews nest…. It’s expensive and No money left after docking :)… there are a ton of good restaurants in town.
wait Until you see the golf cart rental prices.

I once paid more to rent an 8-seater golf cart on Kelleys Island than I paid to rent an Escalade at The Venetian Hotel on the Vegas strip.

Which island?
PIB…..so I am At Gem beach…really close to the Miller ferry….so I can see me bringing it back and forth …..or if at the marina with the cart going to the island for the day on it…. We will see how it works out

Broke free of the island this weekend to do 3 days of Sandusky bike week….. 5 other boats and us. Staying at paper district right in the action….. party is just getting started

Staying at paper district...
Wouldn't mind day tripping there with the Whaler to check it out. NOT bike week, but the marina and a spot for lunch.

That looked like a good time.
Not by design, we ended up in Daytona on the boat one time when it was bike week, St patty’s day and spring breakers were there all within the same week. Sensory overload!

Paper district has designated visit spots for just that…. The slips are your first right….sometimes deck hands are there but if not just pull into one and goto office….downtown has some cool spots and even PD has a cafe with great food, beer etc

Decided to Cruise over to the Bay on Friday night. Called B-dock ahead of time and they said they were full and booked for a private party. Thought things might be busy. Left about 4 PM and was going to head to the Cove in Sandusky to get Gas (5.79 Gallon). Right as we are heading out of the Marina, Giant Boom and smoke seen coming form the cove. Heard it loudly all the way over at Venetian. Someone forgot to put on their bilge blowers...

Anyway, had to make a quick change and put some gas in at my marina. 6.49 a gallon Friday night...ouch.

Got over to the bay at 5 PM and it was dead. B-dock taped off and empty. Got right onto C dock only 1 boat ahead of me in line. Got placed right on the first finger and didnt have to deal with rafting for the night. Hit the scene and the town was like the harbor, Empty. At least Mojito bay was a good time. Actually enjoyed the laid back of it all. We Crashed about midnight as we had to depart early and B dock is still complete empty. 5 am I was awoken by all the typical Put-In-Bay commotion. Went out and B dock was complety filled with Sail boats from the Mills race. Second shot is when we left at 8 AM. Rafted 6 deep. It was a butt clincher getting out of the harbor. I had about a ft of clearance on both sides of my 13.5 ft beam snaking around the boats. V-drives for the win.
