PIB - Lake Erie

We are at Sandusky yacht club this Labor Day weekend. We are with 5 other boats. Just a great time…… yesterday was margarittaville in honor of buffet. Today was a dinghy dash to quakerstate near cedar point for a charity……. Another great time……. Weather is incredible….. tonight is a cookout

Hey Northshore, I just noticed your response. I don’t know the 2017, but I’m part of the AYC being from the north. I know most of the AYC guys. (2016 and 2018 for example)

I draw the line at anything over 5s in Lake Erie. Changes too fast, been in 8s at least and got back to the dock as safely as possible. East Harbor here I come!

Fished in 10 foot rollers on Lake Michigan once, pulled king salmon out of a wall of water. Not scary at all glassy smooth, but not Miss Erie.
Lake Ontario is the same huge rollers…. I followed a 40’ across the lake once from Lewiston to oakville in a 22’….. you would lose sight of each other in the rollers….. full power up the wave and coast down the other side….. crazy stuff
One guy made it to PIB this weekend….. looks like he brought his own bubbler..

I saw the boat about a week ago when there wasn’t ice….. why A has power and how he can just sit there is interesting
