Just wondering if anyone knows about what speed these would cruise at at what rpm? What is they're top speed at what rpm? Also any estimates on fuel burn at cruise? Thanks

I have a 1991 225 Sea Ray Bow Rider. I believe my boat weighs in at 3900lbs before gear and yours is around 3500lbs. I have same engine and a Alpha One drive.

I have had the boat up to 48 MPH(on the speedometer) at the beginning of the year. Your WOT should be 4600 RPM. I do not know the best cruise speed for your boat. I think mine is around 3100 RPM and or 32MPH.

Thank you for replieing, but I was asking about the performance of a 260 CC with 7.4.

I have a 1989 260 CC w/7.4. I am currently running a 19 pitch prop and can turn 4000 rpm wot. That will produce a solid 39 mph. Going to do a fresh tune up this year and see if it will improve my performance. Motor says it will turn 4200 to 4600 rpms. Wondering if I need to re-prop or just clean all the build up out.

I have the same boat and actually with the factory prop it only specs out from sea ray 35mph. I have gotten 37mph top speed in mine and 2 mpg is the best I could squeeze for Econ and that was with 4 people and 50+ gallons of fuel and gear.

Thank you for your reply. With that info, I think I will save the prop money for gas and cooler. It's about enjoying time, no reason to rush it. As far as a family boat, I couldn't ask for anything better!
