2007 240 SD. 350 MAG MPI Bravo III 15Dx24P & 14.5DX24P. Freshwater, elev 10ft, clean bottom, full fuel, full H2O, usual gear & two persons on board. Flat conditions produces the following: 3200 RPM, 25 MPH, 8.0 GPH; 4000 RPM, 35 MPH, 11.8 GPH. The 3200 RPM seems to be the sweet spot on this boat what are your numbers?

We have a 2010 240 Sundancer. 350Mag, Bravo III. If I recall correctly, here are the specs from our delivery test drive:

Just in Gear: 600 rpm .8 gallons per hour
Cruise: 31-34mph at 3900-4000 rpm 8-10 gallons per hour
Top Speed: 44-45 mph at 4300 rpm 11-12 gallons per hour

We had our sales rep on the boat. He determined our optimal cruise speed was 31-34 mph and around 3900 rpm.

With smaller 260HP engine my 240 sundeck perferred running spot (sweet spot) is also 3,200 RPM at about 7.5 gallons per hour and closer to 23 MPH.
Boat handles easily and handles smaller waves.

This speed data is from my GPS. GPH data is an after-the-fact calculation based on engine hours, gas used, and the average speed I drove.
At sea level at 3000 RPM I get to 30 MPH with a relatively empty boat (just the driver plus a little gear) and I think I use 6.5-7.5 GPH. I think the 3000/30 is the sweet spot in terms of maximum range. Installing trim tabs and adjusting the motor trim helped quite a bit to improve MPH and reduce GPH imo.
