Perch in the Saginaw River

[Getaway]

Still fishing out of the Sea Ray. What a great boat to have for perch (any fishing actually). Yeah, she's a little cumbersome to move from hole to hole, but once you are there and on fish, you can chill out with food in the kitchen, heat down below and the Lions on the stereo!

Got a few nice ones last night. The only one willing to brave the weather this time was my little daughter Katie. Finally found some nice fish just before dark!

That is awesome. Katie is a lucky girl to have such a great dad. When she is 30+ (like my little girl) those fishing with dad stories will be treasured memories.

Man, what I wouldn't give for a dinner of fresh lake perch. That is one thing I really miss about growing up in MI.

+1 to PackDaddy's comments about your daughter's memories. She'll always have those to treasure.

All the salmon we caught this year, and the best dinner is still lake perch! Best yet, they are just about in my back yard right now and I'm going nuts here at work thinking about it.

Thanks for the compliments guys. That little girl is something else. She's the sweetest little thing you ever wanted to meet. The saying "daddy's little girl" is so true.

We have had so darn much fun with that Sea Ray this year that I can't bear to put it away for the winter just yet...
