I know many of us swore off the NFL after Colin Kaepernik began his kneeling protests and was let go by the 49ers.
It seems that Congressman Joe Kennedy III wants the Patriots to sign Kaepernick to show how woke they are. I have never in my life seen such naked pandering! I just hope that Senator Kamala Harris of CA doesn't get any ideas of pressuring the 49ers to re-sign him first, as a bold gesture of equity! I was almost thinking of paying a little attention to pro ball again but if any of this bullshit gains traction...No Way!
The black community, if they actually have any intellectual honesty and a modicum of true pride, should denounce Joe Kennedy's request and lobby for advancement of one of their own on merit and talent alone. They should be embarrassed to need a guilt ridden white aristocrat do their bidding. Talk about systemic racism at work.

I’m pretty much done with the nfl. The Bears suck.

Im about 50/50 as far as watching any games this season. If I didn't I wouldn't be heartbroken. If I did, I wouldn't be overjoyed. There are Seahawks who want the team to sign Kap. That would tilt me over the edge and convince me not to watch any Hawk games.

Because of Goodell's admittance to not dealing with the kneeling properly....people want him to apologize publicly to Kaepernick... if you hated football before you will hate it more if that apology happens

There is no way Belichick would put up with Kapernick’s bullshit. We had the best QB in history and Bill ran him out of town because he couldn’t bend a bit and let Brady have his “Trainer” at the field with him preaching their weird science.

Having married a Cape Codder I became a Pats fan and this is BS.

Kaperdick was an employee of his team and as such should have done what he was told or risk getting canned.

Standing during the anthem should be a condition of his return to any team. No stand, no job. Simple. Point made.

Unfortunately now that Goodell endorses the kneeling I'm afraid we will see much more of it this year.

I read today Kapernick is getting a try out with a team but wouldn’t name the team.... the gong show continues

After Goodell and what they did to Drew Breese, I am done with the NFL. Glad to have my fall Sundays back.

what is this NFL that you speak of?!??

I’m not going to debate the merits of kneeling/not kneeling, the flag and it’s meaning or systemic oppression. All I will ever say is that if you work for an employer you don’t have the right to use your employers platform to protest. If I show up to work with a political or religious agenda and vocally express my opinion to my employers customers I would be terminated instantly.

I understand the concept of using a platform but regardless of the message your personal opinion, religious or political beliefs, you do not have the RIGHT to protest at work.

Not to mention they rarely gave him game breaking receivers.

I canceled my DirecTV and NFL package years ago when the kneeling started and won’t renew till they make those idiots ( including JJ Watt) stand during flag ceremonies.

The NFL is DONE with us and our friends a bunch of money hungry little boys playing a game with a ball and won’t stand for our flag big difference between AMERICANS and real PATRIOTS
