It's an option on a 2011 470 Dancer.

Anyone know what the heck that is?

I know what a passerelle is on a ship, but is that really an option on a 41' yacht?!?!

It seems to be targeted at the European market. Odd feature by American standards. MM
 
It is a high class gangway for boarding the stern from a dock above and well behind the transom. That is the custom in a lot of European marinas where there are no finger piers. I suspect is was an addition for the foreign markets/customers.

Well, I'll be! I thought they were using an existing nautical term for something else... WOuld have bet
big bucks that it wasn't really a gang plank!
