I have a 2007 260 DA. On the fuel line from the tank to the engine, and also from the tank to the generator, there is a Parker Fuel Flow Valve. I believe this is normally closed, and opens when the ignition switch goes on. As far as I know it's working fine because I get fuel to the engine (and generator).

I want to confirm that it closes when off, and also be able to manually close it to change the fuel filter on the generator.

There is a knob on the valve that I can rotate 180. However, I cannot tell which way is open and which way is closed. I tried both ways, kept the generator running but it didn't quit. Maybe I just need to leave it running longer until all the fuel is gone (how long will this take???).

Does anyone know the open/closed position for the knob?

Thanks,

Esteban

The manual stem is only marked for "off" It is embossed in the body of the valve. The normal position is off. The other position is "on" and you never want to select that unless the valve fails and you need to get home. Just remember to turn the valve off again.

Best regards,
Frank
