Palm Beach Boat Show

I'm going to go tomorrow afternoon and probably part of Saturday..I think Randy is going too and bringing his boat up to a marina near there...

I like that all the exhibits are at the water site and not part at the convention center...

I was thinking about going today in the boat but with the wind we are having I think I might drive and go today or tomorrow. Docking right in front of Flagler Drive with a 20~25 MPH wind from the south doesn't sound good.

Went for a few hours this afternoon, and wow was it empty...I sure hope that tomorrows a better day for the vendors there...

Might go for a few hours tomorrow as well...

If any of you guys go, can you check to see if JL audio are having a sale over there? Let me know, I'd love to get my hand on another set of 7.7 JL speakers.

Our local NBC 5 weather guy was there at 6 PM and was on a 27 Sun Dancer with the Marine Max guy. MM guy said the boat was marked down for the show from $165K to $125K...seems high still to me. Especially since I looked at a '99 480 Sedan Bridge today with an ask of $279K.

We arrived at the Sailfish Marina yesterday and are staying the weekend. It was fun to dock the boat in 30 mph winds plus a strong current in the opposite direction. If anyone wants to drop by and say hi, we're at the north dock.

we plan to go to the boat show Sunday morning.

enjoy the weekend Randy..Not sure if I'm going back today as there really wasn't much to see there.. a let down after the Miami show...

Hope the winds die down a bit for you all..

I went this afternoon...by car. Parked at the City Place Garage and walked a mile each way. I enjoyed the show...good crowd. i ended up with the MM folks. I have to say that I was really taken with the new 43" Sun Dancer...what a beautiful rig. The 54 was also fabulous.

The 43 with the hard top, power windows, sun roof(s), cockpit air & heat and of couse..Zeus....just knocked me out. Only one thing disappointed me was that the master berth is smaller than my 390.

There were many other beautiful boats there.

One thing that I was pleased to discover is that the new large floating docks are permanent and we can use them to tie up and go downtown West Palm Beach to City Place and Clematis street...it's about time.

Will be perfect for Sunfest which is coming April 30-May 3rd...Hopefully the winds won't be blowing as hard as it was out there today..
