Painting the trailor?????????

Anyone ever painted their trailor? My uncle own a body shop, and I was thinking of having the trailor painted black to match the boat better. Maybe even have some pin strips done as well. Do you think it would look better in black? I am also wanting some better looking wheels. Any one know the biggest size we can put on the trailor?

I think it looks great the way it is and wished mine looked 1/4 that good.

Your wheel size is going to be determined by the lug bolt pattern. You need a small gage to tell what size. I tried to see if Dexter axle had one on line you could print up but could not find it on their web site.

I purchased (Bling!!!) Aluminum mags for my rig and increased the size of tire and ply from 6 to 8. Little added safety feature. I however have aluminum wheel wells much larger than your plastic mold one you are showing. You may be limited to the size tire you have. But you should be able to find suitable mags to replace those that are on there.

I agree it looks great. Also the money spent will be lost if you ever decide to go bigger. If your Uncle is doing it for free then....why not :thumbsup:

Get prices on Rhino or Line-X coatings...

I did mine when I had a Four Winns. I did it myself (well, my buddy at the body shop did it), with my help.

He had never sprayed bed liner material, so I was a guinea pig. It came out really good!

I also think that the white looks just right for your trailer.
Before you paint it, spend a couple of dollars and buy a roll of 2" wide black tape, and apply it to one side of the trailer (lengthwise), stand back, and see if you'll like the look. :thumbsup:
I'm betting that it won't look nearly as sharp as the white...
You might also consider a black pinstripe lengthwise, to enhance the white... :wink:

One adavantage of the white trailer is that you can see the rust developing sooner than the black trailer. Maybe instead of painting that trailer just dress it up with some graphics. Save your $$$ for other toys!
