Ownership Transfer - No response from Sea Ray

I went to Sea Ray's web site a month or so ago and completed the ownership transfer form. I would have expected at least a confirmation email from Sea Ray or something via snail mail, but I never heard a word. Is that typical?

Frank, when I click on the link in your post a page comes up with my name and info, but no HIN #. Do I need to enter the previous owners name and HIN? Or if my name and boat type are already populated on the form, it is done?

If you have already joined the new owners club the form should populate all the known fields. If you are just now joining, then the chances are your browser is auto filling the data it recognizes.

On the Sea Ray system, in you just fill in your info and the HIN #, the folks at Sea Ray who deal with ownership records and warranty (customer service, I believe) will look up your boat and check to see if your ownership data agrees with their file. If it doesn't, then they should contact you and verify the data and get your ownership transferred. If I remember your boat and its history, I suspect Sea Ray will be more than happy to get the original owner off their records.
