Had a great time last week on Hatteras Island. I was there for a freedive spearfishing event to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. We had a wonderful time and raised $14,500 for Children with CF.

Here are a few photos, I landed a 25 pound Amberjack while freediving. The rest of the trip I assisted the real pros who came to the event...

Prater, Nice Fish! I'm sure it tasted good!! The Water looks like your in the Caribbean, how far out were you Guys? We try to go out to Avon every year after Sept. when the crowds are gone!! Last year when we were there we were shocked at how the failing economy had effected so many businesses on Hatteras! Still it's one of our favorite places!!!

It was a great day last Monday, I believe we were on the Proteus Shipwreck when I took the AJ. Its about 25 miles south of Hatteras. Tuesday through Thursday the current started rippin and the viz went south. Sunday was also a good clear day. I think that tropical storm out to see really messed things up. It was still a great time though.

This is my buddies boat Designated Diver. Its a 27 foot May Craft that rides very dry and has a nice oversize hardtop over the pilothouse and cockpit. We were at Hatteras Landing Marina.
