Outboard to Outdrive

I am setting my 87 SR up for trolling and I have a 10hp outboard on the swim deck and I have a 260 Merc outdrive so I want to attach a swing arm from the outboard to the outdrive to control the steering from the wheel house. I was wondering if anyone has used the EZ Steer http://www.marinetechproducts.com/pages/EZSteerHome or any other devices to steer from the wheel house. I appreciate all suggestions.

What about power steering ? you going to idel to have power steering ?

They dont steer very good with out power steering.

IMO the set up your looking at should work fine. Your just using the existing steering to move the aux. motor. Maybe like a tie bar they use on twins. The only thing I would ask the manufacturer is the angle at which it attaches. Too steep and it may bind.
