I just wanted to post this in case anyone see them. Good friends of ours just pick up a 1988 Grand Banks and are on their way back to Central NY. They are stopping in Rock Hall, Md tonight. I am not sure what body of water they are taking but if anyone sees them can you please check on them for us. This is going to be a long slow trip seeing how trawlers don't move that fast. The name of the boat is Consiglia she has blue canvas and is a 42 ft. Their names are Pete & Mary great people.

Thanks
Connie

I'm in central ny, do you know where they are heading?

I just heard from our friends and tomorrow they will be heading to C & D Canal and then Delaware Bay.

Connie, Get more info on their travel times and places they are gonna stay at.

When they get to Utica or Rome,

I can meet-up with them and take them to the store or laundromat or where ever. If needed. ??. :smt001

Thats a very nice looking boat they have. .

Sounds like they are making out well. When they were in Rock Hall that was across the Bay from Annapolis on Chesapeake Bay. I could have checked on them but I am now just seeing this thread...

looks like a great "Great Loop" boat...congrats and safe travel home to the owners....df

Thanks Mark for your thoughfulness. I spoke to them tonight they are on the Hudson River about 3 to 4 hours south of Troy, NY which is where the Erie Canal. They will be going thru the first set of locks in Waterford, NY they are called The Federal Locks. I cannot remember if it was three or four locks one right after another. Very pretty ride back to our home port.

Hi Don. Their other boat is an Albin 36 ft single eng. They have taken it up to Kingston Ontario with that one. From our marina you pick up the Oswego Canal go thru 7 locks to Port Ontario. Cross Lake Ontario to the Saint Lawrence River, so I am sure they wil be using this one quite a bit.

That's a great run up to Kingston. Particularly if you go through the Murray Canal and past Trenton and Picton to Kingston. Cobourg Ontario has an excellent public marina as well. Great memories for me!
