Spent the long weekend on Dale Hollow with kybishop. Cooler than normal but still a good time.

Our 1982 260 DA turned 1500 hours while we were out running around. Will post some pics soon.

Hope everybody else had a good one too.

She looks really good for her age!

Congrats time well spent. I am currently 2265 and 90% of that is the Great Lakes fishing.

Here's a few. More to come hopefully.

Is that on the original engine or with some refurbishing? We've got a '78 240 WE but only about 1/3 the hours...

Your 260 is a 260DA(sundancer) not SD(Sundeck)
Congrats on the milestone.

Original motor and out drive parts replaced have been 5 thermostats two temp sensors three pump housings 5 impellers 4 bellows and of course too many oil and filter changes to count BTW time for new floor again. What has not changed is alternator water pump fuel pump oil pump and valve covers. oops I forgot still original exhaust elbows they have been sand blasted every 4 years. This is all according to paperwork in log book from date of purchase. oops! found another recipt for risers and brass drain valves.
Your boat is a classic beauty krb64

Dang that's purty!! Looks like a great weekend. It's nice to see a boat with that many hours still looking good.

I threw some pic's up in the Pictures & Videos section, under the Summer 2010.

To our knowledge she is mostly original. The leg has been replaced with an Alpha when the transom was redone about 5 years ago and thats about it other than routine maintenance.

Yep, right over there on the right....across from your avatar.

Oh, and congrats! Mine just turned 1400 this weekend, but it's telling me that I am going to be doing some engine work if we are going to make it to 1500 :smt089

Oh yea, thanks. I hadn't caught that yet and its been there forever...

So far, knock on wood, the engine has been strong. Not done a compression test but she holds 40psi oil pressure at throttle when warmed up. Been a fresh water boat all her life stored out of the water.

Can you share your annual maintenance program? Seems like you have done a great job on preventive wear.

Congrats on the milestone. I have the same boat, but not as cared for as yours :smt009. I've had it 3 years, and just had it repowered. It runs really strong now:smt038, but of course season is almost over on Lake Erie.
I need to replace the shift cable (keeps stalling when shifting to neutral), but otherwise some teak work and misc cosmetics.

I love the look of the 260DA...

Wish I could take credit. We bought her from an obsessive compulsive attorney who was a little anal about everything. Only had her for about three years now. He was the second owner but had her for the majority of time.

All we do is winterize and R&R. And barely use her...
