Saw this 500 at the boat yard a couple days ago when I was helping a friend work on his houseboat.

Apparently they dropped this big guy off a trailer over 40". One guy broke several ribs which punctured of his lungs during the ordeal.

I wonder what the repair bill is going to be on this?!:smt021:smt021

ouch! Not as much damage as I would expect from a 40" drop. I wonder if the trailer pivoted down?

That's an early hull - introduced as the 480. (no prop pockets)

Aw shoot, let me get a couple of wrenches and I'll straighten that right out.

IMO about 3 boat bucks and it'll be back in the water.

I have never seen a hydraulic lift like that......a little ugly with the dinghy off, but at least most of it stays out of the water and accessible for maintenance - anyone know who made/makes it?

That boat sat at our marina for two summers on the hard, left sometime last fall or early this spring. It was being brokered. The interior is trashed and the exterior is not much better. I was wondering what happened to her. Where is she now?

It's in Jeffersonville, Indiana right now. The outside had been cleaned up pretty nice as far as I could tell. She had a good shine to her and the bottom paint, well I've seen a lot worse..

I have no idea how long she'll be here. The guys working on her are making a lot of progress. They had the motor and drive shaft out yesterday.

I'm not sure where it came from. From what I was told the guys at the yard had to quick epoxy the hull to keep her water tight while they towed it down here with a pontoon. Wish I could have seen that sight. :wow:

There is still a lot of fiberglass and straightening to do. I'll try and snap some pictures if this rain holds off. I should be back at the yard tonight to get my friends boat in the water.

It was in Muskegon, Michigan like I said for the past two summers. Interior of cabin was full of mold. Asking price started at $199,999. Then to $149,999 then to $129,000. Last I heard they had an offer of $70,000 and they owner freaked out. Maybe he finally came to his senses and took it.

A little bit of schmutz and it'll be just like new..
