Ontario Place Marina

I have been boating on Lake Ontario for a couple of years now and was catuaaly born and raised in Toronto.

I am planning a trip form our home marina in Port Dalhousie to Ontario Place next week, taking the kids to the CNE.

Has anyone stayed there before?
Any tips?

I stayed there for a few nights 3 years ago. It seemed like the natural place to go, since our home marina is also an amusement park.

They put us on the inside of the breakwall. Nice views, easy dock, but a lot of lot of people walking close to the boat.

I didn't mind the activity - I actually enjoyed it, with the exception of the helicopter tour that took off and landed every 20 mins.

My biggest complaint that being inside OP complicated getting downtown. Cabs took a long time to come and the fairs added up very quickly compared to staying somewhere closer, such as Quay West.

I docked at Quay west for years, loved it there, secure, no one walking by, and close enough to downtown or OP to cab it...
