Onan Generator Spin On Fuel Filter Removal

Has anyone had a problem getting the spin on fuel filter off? I’ve used three different wrenches, bent the hell out of the filter, and the darn thing hasn’t budged. Yes, I’ve checked to make sure I’m turning to the left, so unless it is reverse threaded, I’m at a loss to get this thing off.

I had the same problem on my starboard engine fuel filter/water separator, crushed the filter with the wrench, drove a screwdriver through the filter, finally took the mount off the engine and put it in a vice to get the filter off. Advice, put some lube on the new filter and change it every season.

Drive a screwdriver thru it, so u can pull from both sides
