Just thought other parents might want some additional safety with kids on the boats/docks or at the swimming pool.

The SwimSEALSafe is a wireless "neckband" for kids (or drunk's) to wear - that will set off an alarm if child falls in - or on other configurable alert conditions so it wont hinder older kids in having fun at the pool while wearing it.

It is an Indiegogo campaign to help them fund their manufacturing. It is not without risk putting your money into a "non shipping" product - but as I live AT the sea and have a toddler - I thought it might be a good idea. I am not affiliated with them in any way - apart from I have giving them some cash. But with all these "crowd funding" campaigns there is always a risk of not getting the promised product.

Something like that might of saved this little girl.

This happened yesterday one town over from me.

New Hartford Police confirm to NEWSChannel 2 that a two-year-old girl drowned Saturday in the Sauquoit Creek.

Law enforcement officials say Ashi Kah, 23-months-old, wandered away from her parents, was swept away by the water and was taken downstream about 1000 feet.

Her body was pulled from the water by a relative, police say, and she was given emergency medical attention but did not survive. :smt089
