Those people doing all that gain of function and other dangerous experiments with viruses is probably what will end humankind on earth one day. It always amazes me how agencies can always find individuals that will do horrible stuff even when they know it's horrible ahead of time. That article brings out some scary stuff and the thing is, even if we could get that crap stopped in this country it will still be done in other countries with even less concern for the world's population and under control conditions a lot sloppier than ours.

Talked to a guy last night that woke up New Years Day with no taste and no smell. Took 2 rapid tests and both came back negative but obviously those were wrong. So the rapid tests are pretty much worthless

Talked to a girl I work with who I hadn't talked to in a few months. She said her son took 2 rapid tests that both came back negative yet he was actually positive. That's 2 people with 4 tests I have heard about in 3 days. Those false negatives are probably a bigger culprit of spreading than any other. So the rapid tests are a waste of time and it takes 3-4 days to get in for a PCR tests now, at least around here. So not much point in even getting tested now.

Oh, and California has now said if you are positive but asymptomatic you can still go to work?
