Well I've been so upset about not having any water closer than 1 1/2 hours away and blowing the motor in my Denali a couple weeks ago, I put OldSkool on craigslist this morning. I told the admiral about the listing 45 minute after I posted. Well the add was deleted with a sound rebuke her.
To make myself feel better I spent the afternoon switching the trim solenoid and tinkering.
We'll try to splash her next weekend. Gotta love a boat lady!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Sometimes you have to deal with what life throws at you, and its good your wife recognized you had made a regrettable decision. Best of luck.

I think I like your wife, give her a hug from all of us

Blaster, where do you put in on the river? I've searched the launches and they only seem to be able to handle 20+ size boats.
IanBat, She has bought all our boats. I think I'll keep her.

She one smart lady....keep her happy!

Just wondering out loud....how much were you asking for her....the boat not the wife

Smart lady there
Mine kicked a little when I put JP1 on there but she now realizes we probably wont use her anymore and I cant stand to see her sit and suffer from lack of use.

I just looked up Shippensburg, yeah not many options. I go out on the tidal Potomac below D.C. mostly. I have been on the upper Potomac at many different points from algonkian park, point of rocks, four locks, and Paw Paw. All of those places I will only go in my little boats. I have taken my older I/O bow rider in years past to four locks and Algonkian park but I was worried sick about the rocks and that was when the water was really high. Unfortunately your best options are the upper bay or maybe deep creek lake. Or the tidal Potomac.

It may be you will need to plan an overnight stay to have a full day on the water considering your travel times.

Bill, Living out in the country does have its drawbacks at times. :smt021

Hang in there my friend, hopefully things will get better for ya. :smt001

Us "boat mad ladies" do have our uses from time to time:) Hope things improve and you can get some nice boating in.

Hope you're floating again soon. If you have any pets I'm wondering if you've seen my colleague Dr John Stoner? He used to work for me.

Chin up my friend!

You are only 2 hours from tons of great boating on the upper Chesapeake. We have several PA and NJ folks that keep their boats at our marina. Its a haul, but once you are here there are tons of places to go.
