Behold some really old Datamarine depth sounder and speedo displays!
Both are fully functional and I'd like to keep both as back ups to the primary sources.
Primary speed comes from GPS while primary depth comes from a pretty good fish finder.
What I'm wondering is there a different Datamarine display (obviously, this would be old and something
I would need to get off of eBay) that combines both displays into one?
Why you may ask?
I just purchased a Floscan system and need to create enough room to stuff a 3 inch gauge and some switches
into an already packed dash.
Also, if anyone has some knowledge of the signals that comeback from the transducers, I'd love to hear about it.
(could end up being a great project for a PIC micro controller, some signal conditioning, and a 2 line LCD)
With Datamarine no longer in existance finding info has been a fruitless task
So with the exception of "they're old", "cost ya more that its worth" and the like....
any thoughts, tips, hints or suggestions are greatly appreciated
Thanks,
-Mike
