Oil Pressure

I have a 1999 40' dancancer with two new 7.4 horzion engines. I am using 25-40 mercruiser fully sythenic oil . If I run the the boat hard when I come off plane and go under 1000 rpms by oil pressure drops to 20 psi until the oil cools off then it goes back to 40 psi. The boat runs great the motors sounds great I just hate the low oil pressure. Does this happen to any one else with these horzions , also what oil is every body running??? Boat did this with old motors also.

Were the pressure senders replaced when the new engines went in?

Regardless, there's nothing wrong with that pressure, or the swing. "By the book", minimum pressure is somewhere around 6psi.

Same presure range in same circumstances, same oil, different engine.

My guage does that too. Probably something to do with the 'slosh' wave in the pan and the pickup being momentarily in a lower oil level sucking in some air.
