oil alarm

I did my own oil change on 2004 185 Sea Ray and now I have alarm sounding continuosly. I have checked oil level and pressure is good. What could this be?
engine is 3.0L Alpha 1 Mercruiser sterndrive

In your case, it's more important for us to know the engine, not the boat.

However, the alarm will go off for one of three things:

1) Low oil pressure
2) High water (engine) temp
3) Low drive oil

Welcome to the board, but we need more info and what you've done, checked...did you run the engines in the driveway with the muffs on(flush kit)?
 
When I changed the oil I also drained some drive lube thus I will check the level tomorrow and let you know if that is the problem.

I hope you get everything sorted out; but, in the meantime, you need to edit your SIGNATURE, which you'll find in the UserCP. Please do so, and be generous with information in that location, and you'll hopefully receive more help. :smt018

There are at least 2 dozen people here that could probably pinpoint your problem specifically. (Not me, but others :grin:)

What do you mean "I also drained some drive lube"? Did ya put it back in?

You dont just drain anything, you have to replace it.

Clear, concise and very descriptive input will yield the same in answer.
