I can't seem to find the previous thread. I'm getting ready to replace the cockpit fridge and ice maker. I have a Norcold DE451 and Uline SP18B but I'm not finding direct replacements. What has everyone used for replacements since these models are no longer made? The Admiral would like a drawer style refrigerator if possible.

Sorry, no help here. When mine were changed out I was able to go with direct replacements.

side note: I did find it interesting that the cockpit refrigerator my '04 550DA was originally hooked up to AC only, not to DC voltage. I just recently changed it. So, it's hooked up to both AC & DC therefore have flexibility to run off DC, not inverter.

I found the same thing interesting.

How’s that?
I just purchased mine on Oct right before the season ended so I can’t wait to launch in about 6 weeks!

Launching my 540 in 3 weeks. Very exciting. Have a list a mile long of improvements I want to do including:
Electric blinds in cabin
Aqua Marine Deck in cockpit and swim platform
Adding new tv in cabin not sure where but not in the original factory location (which sucks )
LED lighting up top and down below.
etc. etc. etc.

Has anyone changed out their cockpit vents? I can’t figure out how to even get them out to paint. I would love to just replace.

They pop right out with a pry bar. Couple of spring loaded bearing hold them in place

Is there a place to store this table ? I am assuming it’s the one that came with the boat. I thought I saw somewhere recently that there was table storage. My 380 has storage for the cockpit table and the saloon table. I will be getting a teak table and using this one only when there are a lot of guests on board. Thanks

After a failed paint job attempt, I changed mine out last fall. About $40 each. 4-6 weeks lead time PN: PGA4X10R by Marine Air Systems, Inc (We do not sell our product retail. You would have to purchase these through one of our dealers. If you go to our website at www.airmsi.com and look under contacts, you will find a complete list of our dealers there. They will be able to give you pricing for these parts). I randomly bought mine from AER Supply. Great results. FYI, they are a revised design that is very slightly larger than initially provided. I was upgrading the entire cockpit vinyl so had it modified at the same time.

Edit: Added the pdf drawing of the PGA4X10R

Anyone know what this motor is for under the steps ? I think there is another one, same motor and elect boxes somewhere else too. Still finding ing things and learning after 2 weeks.
Also, who has redone their salon steps ? Pictures ?

Perfect. Did you replace them? I’d love to just replace.
Those pictured are not like yours/mine. They “may” still have the spring loaded retainers but not on the sides. There is something top and bottom, two top, two bottom. To me it looks like rubber covers. Covering screws or ?? I don’t know. Pictured area is the bottom wide area of mine.

Has anyone had an issue with their blackwater tank filling while running? I always pump out, never use the macerator, but evidently the seacock was open from the prior year winterization. Randomly at the end of the year, right after a pump out, while running it filled with fresh water. It cracked the tank and blew the hose off. Has this happened to anyone else? Evidently this is a known issue with several models of Sea Ray.
