One step closer! They will be done this week with the captains seat and helm seat/backrest. They also decided there are 2 small bolsters that need the horizontal ribbing adjusted to align better, so they took them back to resew. I love their attention to detail!!

The finished product! We are extremely happy with the final results and are excited to see it on the water in just 148 days! The vinyl we used was Silvertex, and it has a very rich look and feel combined with durability. The pictures in the 'boat barn" just don't do it justice. The upholstery crew, Greg and Jarrod, at GT Canvas really knocked it out of the park!!

Looks really good. A updated look while still keeping the timeless feel of a Sundancer!

I bet that captain chair was undertaking to come out that good.

I was amazed with the Captains chair, I figured it would take a couple weeks. They pulled it out last Friday and installed it Thursday morning, essentially 4 days and they don't work weekends.

The guy who did the sewing has been doing boats and private airplanes for 30 years. That seat has 9 separate pieces to sew and it comes apart really easily he said. (Easy for him I guess. LOL) There were 2 guys working on the entire cockpit from start to finish, not including the person who did the Sea Ray embroidery.

I was just looking at a thread from earlier this year. How did your salon flooring replacement go? My flooring is up and am waiting for the carpet installer to get on site.
 
Another toy for next summer: Installed the Raymarine AIS700 last night. Just need to finish programming it and wait for splash day. It will be interesting to see how many people in Northern Lake Michigan actually have it(?). I only know of 2 friends thus far.
 
@TheWolfTC Forgive me if you know this already, but you can go to https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-86.1/centery:44.3/zoom:7 and see all of the AIS targets. Check it out.

I personally consider AIS a must have piece of safety equipment/technology. We boat in the Chesapeake Bay. I want those big boys, including US warships, to reach out and call me BY NAME. Also, it has one advantage over radar. AIS can see around blind corners!

I know your waters are a bit different than ours, but your thoughts about safety and being hailed by “name” in a situation makes total sense!

We have had a Garmin AIS800 transceiver installed in 2019. Since, the boat has been to the Bahamas five times, up the Fl coast a couple of times and to the Fl Keys. Has it been an essential safety device? - no. Is it a good tool in the toolbox on safely running the boat? - yes. In our Central Florida area, few boats on the waterways have AIS transmitters. Most that do are in slips and don't move but continue to transmit causing constant annoying alarms. I've added a helm switch that can turn it off, switch to receive only or, switch to receive/transmit to make it more of a tool rather an annoyance.

We couldn't be happier with the vinyl. This was a top 5 boat project for me for sure. Super pleased with this upgrade...

No worries! Thank you, we love it and are looking forward to surrounding it with a gazillion gallons of fresh Lake Michigan water in just 139 days.
 
Decided to unroll the carpet and put it back down to see how it looks with the new seats. It was hard to really gauge it against all the white decking. The Admiral loves it so that is all that matters!!! :)
