It Sucks, you will have to remove/cut the caulk around the opening to be able to peel back the pleather to access screws. You will also have to remove the stainless kickplate. I had to remove to only remove the side that is near the power panels. Buy a nice interior trim tool set. If you can have the old fridge fixed ..... do it. The fridge that is in the boat will not fit through the opening, I took a sawzall to it and made it fit...and made a mess. I will say that new fridge is much nicer than the one I took out. The maple panels I had made turned out real well also.
 
And that's a wrap on the 2023 season, so to speak. CAT tech was here and changed all oils, filters, impellers and found we had a broken primer pump on the stbd. fuel filter. Luckily the CAT shop is only 20 miles away and they had it in stock. Now to prep for haul out next Monday and get to work on the list of winter projects.

1. Remove platform and re-finish the perimeter with new gel and replace the sea deck with the gray that we like.
2. New upholstery in cockpit. This starts as soon as we pull the boat. Pretty excited about this upgrade.
3. Repair/replace fuel tank sending units. I hate only knowing what the true fuel level is only a quarter of the time.
4. Compound and polish of course.;)
5. Fix/replace water manifold in salon floor.
6. Replace led rope lights in salon, galley and fwd. stateroom.
7. Wood flooring in part of salon to match what the factory offered as an option. (we have all carpet).

The list is growing and we're sort of glad we have 7 months to complete them all.

I am curious about the water manifold upgrade you are doing. Please send pics when it is completed.

Are you going to be doing the center tank sending unit as well? I need to do mine but cringe knowing the sofas/flooring needs to be removed.

It is definitely on my list. I have figured out how to get the bottom step out to access the port sending unit and I am working on a carpet guy to come and peel back the carpet for the center and stbd. side.

I don't think removing the salon sofa is going to be necessary as it doesn't go that far underneath it and it isn't stapled down as far as I can tell. I started in the corner of the sofa area and was able to start peeling the carpet up. It seems to be only "glued" down to the padding with some sort of adhesive. I could be wrong as it was only a cursory look at it, but it didn't look too bad. The other sending units are supposed to be in line with the port one, so we will need to peel it back a little ways, but we shall see. Of course, I will take pictures and notes of the process once I get to it.

I am thinking to add the hardwood floor option to the salon from the steps to the galley fridge. This was an option that was available but the first owner didn't take it. I like the look of it and then not to have to worry about the carpet getting dirty and all the rugs we have down.

Can I get any feedback from those of you that have the wood flooring? Likes, dislikes etc.

I like my wood flooring, no real downside to it. The only dislike, for me, is that it isn't the entire salon. I have the "oyster white" carpet, which isn't great with three little kids, so I'm thinking about replacing the factory hardwood and carpet with some kind of LVP for the entire area, including staterooms.

Project #1 is underway! Hauled the boat yesterday and pulled the platform so we could get the repairs started on 23 years of dock rash. New Taco trim and stainless are on order. The GHS lift rails are going to the powder coater to get refreshed as well. After all that, new Sea Deck.

When I lift up my step and look down there is a small square access. That lifts up and the sender is right there.

That is correct…reaching it is another thing lol. Unless you have 4’ long arms. :cool:
 
Has anyone had to replace the port side battery charger?
Mine has the Mastevolt 24/110-2 and it’s around $2500 to replace and wondering if anyone has used a smaller voltage one like a 60 or 80. The 110 seems excessive but not sure if it is what has to be used.

Started the 2nd small project and nearly complete. We grew tired of the 23 year old "Eyeball" brass/chrome lights in the bathrooms and thought the new Lumitec Mirage lights looked a lot nicer so we started in the 2 heads in late August. We like the new look and the brighter white glow as opposed to the "warm white" yellow hue. Yes, we could have just ordered bright white LED bulbs, but we were still stuck with the dated eyeball lights.

Now that we are in storage I decided to replace the remaining lights in the salon, galley and staterooms. This seemed simple enough...but I was wrong. I ordered a bunch of lights and started at it last week. The first ones I tackled were the salon dimming lights on the stbd. side. They must be 12volt correct??? NOPE!!! Turns out the lights in that location as well as the Galley, bunk room and forward stateroom are all 12 VAC NOT DC. Dang, now what!!!???

I ordered 4 new voltage convertors and have replaced the 120 VAC to 12 VAC transformers with 120 VAC to 24 VDC. Yes, this was a PIA and the thoughts of just ordering new LED bulbs was at the forefront of my mind at this point!!

Now I'm stuck at the 1 last transformer and stumped as to where it is located. The boats electrical manual shows it located in the fwd. stateroom behind the closet but I can assure you it is NOT there. I have spent an inordinate amount of time searching behind a locker that has nothing behind it. I have deduced that it may be under the stbd. side step to the bed. I removed the carpet last night but can't get the top of the step off yet. I am going top try running my LCD/USB camera on a wire into that cavity before I go any further and make sure it is in there. Sea Ray just couldn't make this an easy one...on the other hand, I think I bring a lot of this on myself. LOL

The lights in the showers are also by Lumitec; The Aurora dome light. These have a dimming feature as well as the blue option and didn't require me to drill a larger hole.

Well, after a combined total of 3 hours searching for this silly transformer, I finally uncovered it. They hid the transformer in the stbd. closet under the carpet and access hatch. Never knew it was there since we store so much "S*&^...stuff" in there. Now the process will be complete by Tuesday once I get the 4th and final transformer. In this case, I guess Sea Ray made it simple and I made it difficult in finding the little bugger. Now I have to reinstall the carpet on the stbd. step.

On a side note, what a great little compartment to hide beverages in when traveling to Canada next year!!! (no one will ever look there, especially after we stuff it full of "S*&^....stuff again!!"):cool:

Well, if they had stated "UNDER" the closet, my search pattern would have been different...LOL

I replaced ours with the ProNautic 2430P and have had no issues.
 
Removed the rope light under the cabinet last night and added a new outlet in the blank space of the switch plate. Always figured there should be an outlet there but didn't want to go through the process of cutting an entirely new one in. The new lighting is on order for both the galley and fwd. stateroom.
