Official 380 Thread

22" from any auto parts store. Buy the better ones without any metal and with a large blade. If the blade is too skinny and has a metal frame it may scratch the windshield. You're probably going to have to spend $15-20 per.
 
Any of you guys have a Satellite TV system? Curious on where and how it would look on a 380. Been looking at some mounts but the combo mounts for open array and tv dome throw the look of the boat off. Anyone with pics?
 
Ok...I've officially gotten tired of anchor rode and am going to all chain. Tired of slipping, tired of it hanging up...just done. Anyone replaced their rode with chain? If so what brand and size worked best? 200 feet should be gracious plenty and I'm replacing 5/8ths rode. And Jim's, my Intellian mounted directly to the arch and comes under the open array. Works great. I'll find some pics.
 
Jedi, does it look "off" as the dome it to one side as most I have seen on hard top boats are center? Would love to see pics! Thanks

My KVH TrackVision is mounted on the same base as the factory antenna was. The previous owner just had it installed a couple of months ago and it had to be re-mounted on a stalk due to interference from the radar. I'm seriously thinking about removing the whole system since I really wont ever use it. Im wondering if it has any resale value.

Jedi, I replaced my chain and anchor earlier this season, was able to salvage the rode. I used G4 Hi-Test 5/16" galvanized chain, correct for the Progress 1 windlass. defender Marine has it in 90' pails for $372. each.

That does not look bad at all. the KVH is a larger dome I think. Does the Intellian come with a control box and needs a Sat reciever box as well? where do you have them mounted? have pics? thanks
 
The Intellian comes with a control box and needs a Sat receiver, but that's why I chose it. I appreciate the ability to choose and upgrade the receiver, use a DVR etc. without having to be locked into a dual controller-receiver. (it also performs amazingly - one of those items you install and essentially forget about - it just always works!)

I used a Seaview mast/mount to hold my Garmin dome low/fwd and the i2 above/aft. It wasn't cheap and isn't subtle, but I think it looks good.

I'm trespassing here in the 380 forum, but my controller is mounted in my 400 in a cabinet just fwd of elec panel in the salon. (which is also where my coax ship/shore switch is). The DVR is too large for that space though, so it lives in the mstr stateroom locker. I use DirecTV's RF remotes, so hiding the DVR isn't an issue.

I've got about 30" of chain below my rope rode, and it works fine for lake boating. The chain is 5/8" G4. Oh, if anyone still needs wipers or blades, you can get them from Bus Supply, in Texas.....talk to Brenda.

Is anyone else experiencing any type of list on a 380 sundancer? Mine seems to sit about 4 inches lower on the port side and I cant find any reason why. Its driving me nuts!! Tim
 
Except for the obvious, fuel tank, holding tank full, unless you have something very heavy forward of the batteries. My next thought would be interior water in the hull as a possibility. You state you have hydraulic platform, was it factory installed. Did they mount any through hull hardware? I hope I am wrong, but I am thinking a water meter hull test may be in order. Let us know what you find out?
