Official 380 Thread

I'm ready to swap out the cabin headliner lamps for LED. I slid a screwdriver behind the brass ring and it looks like the whole thing's trying to come out, is that the best way to get them out?
Yep, slide my fingers under the edge and pull down, just watch the spring loaded clips, they will snap on your finger

I can't figure out how to operate the windlass and there's no manual on the boat. I think I need to press and hold on Main, then the toggle or foot pads, but nothing happens.

That’s all it takes, flip the switch, the. The joystick up or down….

chexk the main red breaker on the engine room wall

Some of those "control" switches (next to the main power switch) need to be pulled straight out before it will toggle up or down.

Okay, yeah it wouldn't move when I was on the boat. I'll try pulling it out.

For clarity do I hold down on the Main switch while toggling up and down at the same time? It's not an on-off switch, it's kind of like the engine starter switch where you press it and it pops back up when you let it go.

Thanks, yes, it did turn blue. The foot pads didn't do anything either, first time having foot pads though. I'll try it again next time I'm on the boat.

So I got my 380 out on the lake today for the first time this year. I noticed when filling my tanks (ouch) that the gas gauges were “dancing” around. Didn’t think too much about it, figured that it was just the floats reacting to the incoming fuel. Weird as that has never happens before. They both settled down until I went wide open they fluctuated again with the port gauge slamming down way below empty. I got back to the dock and shutdown the solenoids but even with the power off it’s stuck way below empty. In the trip home the port gauge showed empty and the starboard danced and fluttered a little bit but was showing the correct read. I suspect a ground maybe on the gauges but with both doing it, I’m not sure. Ideas?

Can I ask where did you purchase the led bulbs?
Thanks

On a 2001 380DA has anyone replaced the VHF Raymarine 220 Hailer for one that did not have to do a lot of work on the dash? One that would fit fairly easy?

Thank you,

Well My salon refrigerator the Norcold DE461 decided to quit on me and I have a 10 day trip planned in a week. I have seen a couple of posts but are on the older side as to what it was replaced with. Can anyone share what you have replaced it with? Norcold says the DE 0061 is a direct replacement but someone that this said he had to relocate the compressor a.d I am not sure I want to do that. Any suggestions? Also any techs in the Boston area that could diagnose? Maybe it is fixable?

Ugh that stinks, waiting for mine to quit. I can't help you, but get one of those 3-4 day coolers, the big ones, and take your trip, worry about the refrig later. You also have your cockpit refrig. We use the 3-4 day cooler when going on a land vacation now, when we want to go to the grocery store "at home" versus fight all the crazies where we are going to.

I see a "Spotlight" switch at the helm. When I flip it on the spotlight does not light up. I do not see a toggle to spin the light around anywhere either. Where is it?

Mine is to the left of the steering wheel, it’s a round pad you push on the different sides to go left right or up and down.

there is a button for speed, and another that turns the light on or off
