Here we go again with the water. Every time it raines we are getting water coming in on the port side. It is slow, about 6 to 8 hrs after it rains. The head rail (port side corner next to the tv) starts to get wet and soaked then the floor (port side) just below the bed gets soaked. We have sealed everything on top and still getting rain water coming. Any ideas. We are going down to the boat this weekend for the last time before they pull it for the winter so I will take some pictures and try to post them.

Here are the pictures of the water leak. As you can see it starts in the corner of the head rail which the head rail soaks up and then the floor starts to get soaked. I hop someone has an idea were this leak could be starting from:huh::smt089:smt100

My only thought is that the backing plate for one of the bow rail stantions is right above that area. Have you check it?

J, Will we be able to see this if we pull the tv out? They are pulling the boat out this week, but we will still be able to get in it to do some work on it.

No you dont need to pull the TV out. One stantion base plate can be found behind the fabric covered rectangle of plywood that is just above the one portlight on the Port side. Another base plate is located behind the vinyl covered plyood rectangle that is in the back of the closet further aft on the port side. Both of these plywood pieces are held in SS wood screws.

Ok, here is the scoop from Sea Ray. They seem too think this leak is coming from the fresh water fill cap. This will be a pain in the butt to repair. The curtain, cornice for the curtain and the padded panel need to come out in order to access the water line. Anyone out there ever done this before. All help is needed for this one.

Thanks

Connie,

I was reading your old post regarding the leak on the port side floor below the bed! Did you find out what exactly was the prblem?
I think I am having the same problem lately!
Thanks!
Benny

Hi Benny,

Not sure what we did to solve it, but my husband cleaned all the caulk above the rub rail and resealed it. We also noticed the nav light was loose (rubber seal was gone) so he removed the screw and put caulk were the rubber seal was and screwed it back down. It hasn't leaked since. Hope this helps
