Official 370 Sundancer thread

Having a problem with the fwd Cruisair A/C unit on my 1995 370 Sundancer. Low A/C code flashing after unit trips out. Turn the unit off and back on sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt....Thoughts?

We had this happening last year to ours as well. It turned out the Y cord for shore power was on its way out. That combined with less than stellar power throughout the dock combined to shut it down. On the water with the gennie going it's fine.

I would start by looking in the Cruisair manual to see exactly what that code means. Not sure what you're talking about when you say the unit "trips out" do you mean the compressor shuts off or is it tripping the breaker? Sounds like it could be low refridgerant pressure but not sure about exactly what's happening. Mark

LO AC = low alternating current, these units have a built in volt meter to measure the incoming power (i.e 115 vac).

What size diameter is the sanitation hose from the pump into the holding tank? I am away from the boat and need to pick up a new section of hose to bring.

Any help is appreciated as I won't have to go to the boat first to get the size and then backtrack to the store.

Just added some updated photos finalizing the project for the season...now we're floating and enjoying all the work...Thanks to everyone on this thread with so much great feedback and input, it was a huge help! At this point in time the sea strainers are completely void of any verdigris but we shall see how it goes the rest of the summer.

Safe boating to all!!!

Wolf...

Awesome job! All the improvements look great.

We have the custom sun pads on the bow like you. We had a Sunbrella cover made to cover all 3 cushions. It really helps keep them clean and looks pretty good as well.

This is about the best pic I have on the iPad.

Thanks Mark!
We have been debating on the Sunbrella cover for the bow cushions. Since we literally launched only 2 weeks ago we haven't had much time to use them due to the weather so during the week I simply have removed them. The problem we are having is what color sunbrella to use. We would love to use Black to match but the company we chose to have make them isn't recommending it due to the heat build up. He feels it will deteriorate the vinyl & foam to quickly. So that leaves us with white to match....then we started thinking, well if we use white we will have to clean that just the same as if we had to clean the cushions...lol so why bother??

We will see how it goes over the summer and probably add it at some point in white...we'll see how it goes. He only wants $400 for it so it's not like it costs that much.
Have a great summer!
PS: Where is Okanagan?? in Canada???

Sounds reasonable. But I have to admit the black Sunbrella would look pretty awesome.

The Okanagan is in British Columbia, Canada. We live just outside of the city of Kelowna. We're on Okanagan Lake which stretches fromVernon in the north to Penticton in the south. Tons of golf courses and wineries surrounded by mountains. It's a 4 hour drive from here to Vancouver on the coast.

Google Kelowna and Okanagan for some great pics. Or check out my Facebook page Burley Boating.

Heres to better weather for the summer!

Our 370 has custom screening for above the windshield. I put it up yesterday as its getting hot here this week.

Here's a couple of shots for anyone who wants ideas. Sorry about the quality...guess the lens on the iPhone was a bit dirty.

So do you also have eisenglass for those sections? This is similar to what we did for the camper back on Duckee. Instead of the plastic, we opted for solid Sunbella panels and a second set of screened panels that we can mix and match. Do you have to race to put something up when it starts to rain?

Yes we do. I'm good at noticing if rains coming so have only been caught when nothing is installed!

We love these as the boat is never super hot during the summer.

I have 1995 370 and trying to fine the breaker for the shower sump. The book states on the DC panel.. nothing separately labeled?? Thanks

If I remember it's on the breaker panel in the bilge for "aft bilge pump". I had problems with mine and that's where I reset it.

Now another question: I just bought a new shower sump- not too bad- replacing the original on my 1995- the old unit has 2 brown wires - one with orange strip and a black. The new unit has only two wires to connect - black- and one +. The sump and switch are already connected. Any suggestions? There were no instructions in the box. It is an ITT -Rule - 98SR

I changed mine years ago, but IIRC the brown wires are for the indicator light in the shower stall. It lights up when the pump is activated.

I got tired of water building up in the windshield on a whim I decided to drill a drainage hole. Now after it rains the water drains out no seeping in to the cockpit... next step clean up all the old caulk!

Is that where the side windshield meets the radar arch? That area is a goofy design! The stainless frame work has a lot of depth to it and allows too much water to accumulate back in an area where weepage is an issue. Good idea!

yes right where the arch meets the windshield

Does someone ever replaced the cabin door sliding rail (top one) ? How did you do it. The challenge seems to be the removal of the fixed panel on the left over the cabin door.
