Official 370 Sundancer thread

Hi Guys,

just noticed the other day that my carpet just below the draws in the front v-bert was wet, only on the left side, I know that I ran my AC unit the other day but, we had also rain the next day, so not sure what cause that! Some friends told me that maybe my AC drain could be cloged and the pan is over filling. Any suggestions??

Thanks!

Not sure if you got an answer to this but I had the same problem and tried for MONTHS to track it down. I narrowed it down to what I thought was a freshwater tank leak. Well, come to find out, the leak was at the freshwater pump. I'm not sure how it found its way there, but when I pulled the filter side input, rewrapped it with teflon tape and installed it to back on the pump, suddenly two problems resolved. 1. intermittent running of the pump and 2. wet floor in the v-birth. I hope your problem is as simple and inexpensive to repair.

Safe travels

Nice job!

It's the way we went too and would have it no other way. Our dock mates call it the "screen porch" and think it is the neatest thing. Great when the no-see-ums are rampant.

Gene

Got that right Gene! Seems we have lots of dock guests since the job was done.

Thanks for the thoughts....

Removing padded liners in forward berth...

Looking for a little guidance on the removal of the padded/angled liner in the v berth on my 1996, 370 Sundancer. It only appears to be held in at the ends as I am able to pull it out at the middles. This is the padded liner that is on both port and Stbd sides and hides the stanchion post mounts and running light connections.
We want to replace the dated 96 fabric and put something new on but I can't figure out how to get it off? There are NO visible screws through the fabric so it is held on the back side somehow.
Does anyone have experience in removing this?
Thanks
Bill

Just did mine last year. The piece is held on by 2 -3 screws on the end of the panel , nothing in the middle. The fabric on mine was just tucked in on the ends, so if you pull on the fabric from the ends it should expose the screws. When reinstalling I did the same thing, stapled everything but the ends, screwed it back in place then use I flat spackle knife and tucked it back in. Hope this helps.. The hardest part was the bolster around the seat in the MS, I cut the fabric away and it exposed 1 screw on the buckhead door side that was toe-nailed in.What a PIA..Good luck

Thanks for the quick response! Yeah...the bolster was going to be the next question...lol Found a couple screws that held it on but the bulkhead door screw was a mystery...how did you get that back on after removing it without an exposed screw head?

In the smae manner as the panels. Left the area where the screw was unstapled, then put the screw back in the same spot and tucked the fabric in.

Thanks for all the advice. I have attached a few pics of the work in progress. It was easier than we expected. :smt038
I am trying to upload the new images of the work we are doing but for some reason the image uploader isn't allowing me to...I'll keep trying.

OK...so uploading pictures for some reason isn't working. Every time I try to upload an image it tells me "I have exceeded my size by "XX" kb" the XX is the number of K ie 96kb or 64 kb. I have reduced the image sizes down to as little as 63kb and I still get the error message that the file is too large. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

So, I've been working on some cosmetic renovations to the dash. Ordered a new set of panels from Founder Pounder. They came in today and they look gorgeous. Can't wait for the project of replacing all of them as well as getting the backlighting reconfigured and functional.

While waiting for the panels order, I discovered that our heat wave this summer melted the black plastic covering the shift handles. Ordered new chrome handles and installed two of them. Take a look:

My Hatch Actuator is dying, it blows the breaker every time i use it, and moves really slow.
Does anybody know a source for a replacement?

They look great! I have already done the entire dash replacement with the new simulated wood panels and it was an aamzing upgrade. Next up will be the gauges...I like the chrome bezel look as opposed to the black plastic. So the dumb question of the day...How did you post the pics? I can't get this thing to upload images as it states I have exceeded my 90kb capacity...I am stumped on this simple thing.

Re: Removing padded liners in forward berth...

Has anyone replaced their salon carpet recently? I am going to get this done along with all the fabrics and cushions we are in the process of sewing.
Where did you get the carpet if you have done it. I am having a challenge finding this rubber backed carpet from any of our local suppliers.
